Sides of highways make good rodent habitats

Posted in Eco by Eco on the December 30th, 2007

It seems that freeways and roadways don’t damage animal habitats as much as we previously thought - at least not rodent and small mammal habitats. A recent study showed that roadsides actually make good habitats for rodents, as demonstrated by the fact that birds of prey make roadsides some of their frequent hunting destinations. Good news for both the rodent and raptor populations.
