Old warships pollute San Francisco Bay

The US Maritime Administration is being sued by some environmental groups for letting old deteriorating warships remain in San Francisco Bay for longer than allowed by Congress. There are more than 70 old ships just floating there, part of the Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet - some of them dating back as far as World War II. They are no longer functioning warships, and Congress had set a deadline for their removal, which the Maritime Administration missed.
