I recently heard that people are protesting the Woodward Cruise in Michigan because of the emissions that the old cars put out. I understand that these cars are not good for the environment, but people who drive them tend to only drive them for a little while in the summertime and they drive them for show, and then park there and turn their engines off! My husband and I were tossing ideas back and forth earlier today about how prisons could end up saving taxpayers money by doing things to go green. One of the cool ideas that he had was to have prisoners get on treadmills that eventually hook up to generators and they could generate power for the prison by doing their running or walking exercises. We were saying that the prisoners could have a little card that they could swipe every time that they got on a treadmill and it would keep track of their time, and if they generate so much power they could have a few dollars to spend in the prison store.

I feel like government places like this should take steps to go green to save us money. If we could run prisons, or really any government offices off of wind turbines, solar power, and things like that we could save a lot of money in the long run. Maybe some of that stimulus money should have gone to something like this instead of other things that I have been hearing about.

I have been thinking about getting LASIK surgery for a very long time now. I have really terrible vision and I would really love to just be able to wake up in the morning and be able to see without having to find my glasses or put in my contacts.
