Eco Friendly Printing Business

Posted in Eco by damdanger on the October 24th, 2008

I love it when I find a business that is eco friendly. Businesses that go the extra mile to ensure that they are not leaving too big of a footprint on the earth are awesome, and I found another great one that does printing for you on recycled paper with soy ink! The website is located at http://www.psprint.com/ and they are actually a green printing company.

Soy ink is better than traditional petroleum based inks because it emits fewer VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and also is better for recycling. You can get a variety of products printed that are eco friendly from PSprint.com.

PSprint.com offers brochure printing, business card printing, letterhead printing, calendar printing, and much more. Make sure to visit their website to see their full range of printing products. When you order from PSprint.com you know that you are ordering from a printing company that cares about the environment. The company itself recycles all of their paper waste to ensure that they are helping with recycling wherever possible.

The next time you need anything printed make sure to visit PSprint.com before you go anywhere else because they do quality work and they also care about the environment which is very important!

Daylight Savings

Posted in Eco by damdanger on the October 19th, 2008

I know that pretty soon here we are going to need to change our clocks to fall behind for the winter. I did some research and found out that our time change schedule was changed in 2005 due to an energy act that said that we would save 10,000 gallons of oil a day just for making this change because businesses have more daylight and use less electricity.

At 2 a.m. on November 2, 2008, groggy Americans will turn their clocks back one hour, marking the end of daylight savings time for 2008.

In Aug. 2005, Congress passed an energy bill that included extending Daylight Saving Time by about a month. As of 2007, DST starts the second Sunday of March and ends on the first Sunday of November.

Laptop Memory

Posted in Eco by damdanger on the October 19th, 2008

My husband constantly uses his laptop to do all of his work and also his Internet surfing. I know that he really needs some laptop memory because his computer runs a bit sluggish. He blames his slow typing on the memory but I tell him that just isn’t how it works. We laugh about that but his computer really does need some more memory if he wants it to run properly.

Treadmill Walking

Posted in Eco by damdanger on the October 19th, 2008

I have been walking a lot to help with my exercising routine but it is starting to get really cold outside. I started looking around at different kinds of treadmills so that I can do my walking inside when it gets too cold to bear walking outside. I know that once it snows and gets really icy here it will be too hard to go walking in my usual area.
